The McHardy Family of Corryhoul Website

Photographs - other family members

This page is a voyage of discovery. It is dedicated to the members of the family for whom I have been able to track down some early photographs of. The original version of this page was becoming too large to operate properly and has been split into individual pages for each family member. Click on the blue hyperlinks below to go to their respective pages. A link there will take you back to the Index below. (You can also look for each individual below on the Family Tree Page).

  • Why MacHardy?

It will be interesting adding to this page as materials become available.

Another McHardy family moved into Easter Corryhoul from Dinundhu in the 1830's. These were John McHardy and Sophia Dunbar. It had long been thought that John was the son of John McHardy and Margaret Dauney of Easter Corryhoul who form the root of this website. However further research has shown this not to be the case. This John was the son of Peter McHardy and Elspit Michie who married in Glenmuick Parish in 1801. He was born in Ruthven Parish in Angus. Below are photographic details of this family.

Alexander McHardy - Father of a New Zealand Dynasty

Hugh McHardy - Capped for Scotland
