Pokémon Black and White revealed

New DS adventures to 'enhance quality'
The Pokémon Company has announced the names for the fifth generation of DS adventures. The two new games will be called Pokémon Black and White and fans can look forward to hearing more details this weekend.

While the Black and White teaser site promises to disclose more information on the adventures on 15 April, we understand that the Pokémon Sunday show will be revealing the games on Japanese TV this weekend.

Pokémon Director Junichi has spoken of the new games on his blog, saying they are working to "enhance quality." They are expected to be released in Japan this year.

Musada recently discussed reinventing the series with ONM. "If we thought totally reinventing the series would be attractive enough, we would definitely try. But, if we want to simply try something new, then, I just add those ideas to a new series. (laugh) I always try to create a game that anybody, including those who have never played before, can enjoy."

That's all for now but come back this weekend when we'll hopefully reveal more details. In the meantime, you can read ONM's Pokémon Black and White wishlist.

The Daily Mail will be straight on this with the racism allegations!

In seriousness, cool. I still like to play Pokemon games, it's just that I'm embarrassed to admit it nowadays!

ENOUGH
Once is fine, but putting out the same game over and over and over and over again is just pushing it.

If you like, you can replace the phrase "enhance quality" with "make us more moniez!"

I imported Pokemon from the US on the releaseday. The only thing I knew was that it was some kind of rpg and it lacked some good rpg on the gameboy back then. So I decided to import. I enjoyed the game like almost no other. A year after that..it started to become a phenomenon in Europe too...and then, to my un-enjoyment they released the cartoons, transforming my beloved rpg-collectathon into a kiddy game. Instead of being a proud anonymous pokemongamer in the train (nobody knew the game here, and the red cartridge was strange as hell)....now I tried to hide my game and felt embarressed when somebody trapped me.

But since then....I played the Advanced Pokemon, I played the DS platinum game.....but I simply can't love it again. The games are almost identical to the coreversion I played 13 years ago.... Please common, make it a more storydriven, actiondriven and most of all.....nicer to look at game. I mean, the Pokemon in the latest DS versions Fight screen are still unanimated sprites...they could easily be 3d animated but hey, I guess that would take someone to really produce it and they rather not work on that...getting tired.

Expected to be released this year eh, well I guess that rules out it being on 3ds then (unless Nintendo bring the date forward for that).

Either way I'm really excited, can't wait for more info over the coming months.
