McCain says voter turnout key to Tuesday election

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- U.S. Sen. John McCain, veering a bit from partisan politics, was unwilling Friday to bet on the results of next week's election and whether key races would yield Congressional control to Democrats. The Republican senator from Arizona said it's a "tough" call. "It'll depend on getting out the vote," he said.

Document: Ex-security guard knew men he is accused of shooting

PHOENIX (AP) -- A man suspected of shooting two people at their workplace knew the victims for months and even showed one of them the weapon he's suspected of using against them. That's according to a court document released Friday.

Baghdad clamped under heavy security ahead of expected Saddam verdict

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- U.S. and Iraqi forces drastically tightened security across Baghdad on Saturday in advance of the expected guilty verdict against Saddam Hussein, and the Iraqi prime minister said he hoped the ousted dictator will "get what he deserves."

Legislator dies at 45

Former state House Speaker Jeff Groscost, a prominent conservative lawmaker who lost an election after being blamed for the state's costly alternative fuel vehicles subsidy fiasco, died Friday. He was 45. A Banner Baywood Medical Center spokeswoman said that Groscost had died from "cardiac related" problems.

6 men arrested for alleged Internet child pornography

Six Arizona men have been arrested for allegedly exchanging child porn over the Internet. Investigators plan to arrest two more in the case. The child porn included videos and images of infants and toddlers as well as teens involved in sex acts.

2 dead in Verde River plane crash near Bartlett Lake

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office released more details on Friday about a small plane that plunged into the Verde River, killing both people aboard.  The experimental plane crashed Thursday after leaving Deer Valley Airport in Phoenix.

    The Bolles Murder: New Questions Raised

    It was 30 years ago, when Arizona Republic investigative reporter Don Bolles was car bombed in a hotel parking lot in Phoenix.  He died 11 days later.  The ABC 15 Investigators uncovered new evidence and raised new questions into the killing of Don Bolles, and whether an innocent man, Max Dunlap, was framed for one of Arizona's most infamous murders.
