Document: Ex-security guard knew men he is accused of shootingPHOENIX (AP) -- A man suspected of shooting two people at their workplace knew the victims for months and even showed one of them the weapon he's suspected of using against them.
That's according to a court document released today.
The victims in yesterday's shooting in the parking lot of a Pitney Bowes office were able to identify suspect Michael Rivera during hospital interviews with police.
Rivera was booked into jail yesterday for investigation of two counts each of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
He's being held on one (m) million dollars bond.
Rivera was arrested within hours of the shooting that wounded 37-year-old Steve Paduano and 29-year-old security guard Robert Bruhier.
Bruhier was shot once and is in stable condition.
Phoenix P-D says Paduano was shot several times. He's also in stable condition.
