The What
Run by Adam

We are a band from Augusta, GA that covers The Who. Since we can't really play very well, we focus on using our good looks to attract female fans. Once they hear use, they run away. Oh well, at least we try.

Righteous Buddha
Run by emo

Righteous Buddha is a very funky jam band -- hammond B3 organ, upright bass and drums -- from Louisiana. We have a cd out -- Black, Blue & Bamboo. We play regularly in New Orleans, Jackson (MS), Oxford (MS), Baton Rouge and Lafayette.

SEKTIONATE
Run by GokuTu

As of today, I am a solo artist that is JAMMIN' with a few friends. We are from Seabrook, NH, which is a very strange area to be from. Being in a band is brand new to my friends, but I have been in a few already. We record audio tapes every time we get together, and since we started, we have come a long, long way. I do have a collection of my own personal songs that I have written over the years. If anyone would like to check out my own stuff or the stuff that my friends and I have been jammin' on, send me an email, it will be totally FREE and I'll even pay shippin' and handlin'!!! - Who knows, you might feel the energy the way I do, and maybe start to enjoy music again. kdctjc@yahoo.com

Wisher
Run by mindatlarge

"If the sno-cone-sweet Power Pop of Wisher sounds a bit familiar, don't worry - they used to be the Parasols. Their intergalactic, Beatles-esque pop is loaded with endearing lyrics of boy-meets-girl crushes, jangling guitars, Big Star-inspired riffs, and ambitious vocal harmonies that glide easily like sail planes and hot air balloons. If you dig old Bee Gees, the Beatles, and everything in between, Wisher could very well be the band you've been waiting for." - Real.com

Lloyd Crandall and the Organizers
Run by biscuitbass

file under: rythm and bluebeat

captain nobody
Run by captainnobody

pop music, probably called lo-fi, although i'd rather be hi-fi, i just don't have the clams to get into a real studio. influenced by the la's, cracker, yo la tengo, quided by voices, guarded by monkeys, violent femmes, wilco, and loads of 60's brits, although i sound like none of them.

Random Maxx
Run by MaxxLarge

Random Maxx is fast becoming one of Milwaukee's premier pop acts, garnering praise from every band they gig with, and at every locale they play; as well as several local industry awards and considerable local airplay. Fantastic 4-part harmonies, melodies that stick in your head days after you hear them, and a fun and inviting stage show are their trademarks. Stay tuned in 2001 as they work on their 3rd CD with producer Mike Hoffmann (Verve Pipe, Willy Porter) --- due out in September of this year.

Soul Kitchen
Run by beatlit

Party on the Square / D. Beck
Soul Kitchen is a project band that appears when the need arises. Kind of like Mystery Men.

After our third incarnation, the core members decided to get some new amps and things, so now we're good to go. Our most recent show was in July at Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA. And we played two years straight at the Fletcher Henderson Jazz Festival, although we don't actually play jazz.

Our music is kind of like War meets Traffic at The Crossroads, but we're considering a move in the direction of Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers meets Van Morrison someplace like Memphis or Oakland. I just don't know anymore. It's definitely somewhere between Funk, Folk and the Blues.

Under Construction
Run by MayaPinyun

Eclectic, unusual, and different are three terms often used by others to describe Maya's melodies... His own opinion? "All music is just sound waves. Styles be damned, if it makes me feel good it's good music." Jazz, rock, funk, industrial, techno, hip-hop, cutting-edge vocals, even tribal music are joined experimentally on his maiden CD, "This is Maya Pinyun".

Man in Gray
Run by captainkazoo

NYC based band who likes to rock it out like it's 1994. Supposedly, there are some comparisons to the Pixies, but I'm not sure about that. Influenced by the Pixies, Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, and tons of other bands. With a whole bunch of mp3s and pictures from the latest gig, check out our site for more information.
