UNLV Schedule and Game Wrap-Up

UNLV Rebels 2007 Game Dates, Locations, and Wrap-ups. (All times Pacific). Home games played at Sam Boyd Stadium in Henderson.

At Utah State Aggies
Date:
Thursday, August 30th
Time:
5 p.m.
Outcome:
Win, 23-16! The Rebels first road game win in almost three years! (Last time was in 2004 against BYU). Junior running back, Frank Summers scored on an 11-yard run with a little over a minute left to win the game.

Wisconsin State Badgers (Ranked 5th)
Date:
Saturday, September 8th
Time:
7 p.m.
Outcome:
Grr. 23-16 loss. Almost a spectacular upset a la Appalacian State, but a last minute drive by the 5th-ranked Badgers, the highest-ranked college team to play at Sam Boyd, stadium, gave Wisconsin the win. I saw some somber Badger fans at Margaritaville after the skin-of-their teeth victory. They knew they just got away with one. Freshman QB Travis Dixon was 23 of 36 attempts for 258 yards with one touchdown.

Hawai'i Warriors (Ranked 24th)
Date:
Saturday, September 15th
Time:
6:30 p.m.
Outcome:
Loss. 49-14. Hawaii's star QB Colt Brennan completed 26-of-32 passes for 298 yards in three quarters, setting an NCAA record by passing for more than 200 yards for the 29th straight time. Neat for Colt. Sucks for us.

Utah Utes
Date:
Saturday, September 22nd, Conference opener.
Time:
7 p.m.
Outcome:
Win! 27-0. The Rebels ended the 11 game losing streak to the Utes with this shut-out victory. Tailback Frank Summers scored three touchdowns and ran for 190 yards on the day. Good job!

At Nevada Wolfpack, Reno
Date:
September 29th
Time:
1 p.m.
Outcome:
Loss. 27-20. It went down to the final seconds as UNR QB Nick Graziano threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Sammons beat in-state rival UNLV for the third year in a row.

At Air Force, Colorado Springs
Date:
Saturday, October 6th
Time:
6 p.m.
Outcome:
Grr. 31-14, tough conference loss to the Falcons, despite the Rebel offense picking up 471 yards. We will hope for a big win against the Cougars next week.

BYU Cougars
Date:
Saturday, October 13th
Time:
6:30 p.m.
Outcome:
Another loss. UNLV falls to the Cougars, 24-14. BYU outdid UNLV in yardage, 441-217, so that pretty much sums it up. We hope for the Homecoming miracle against the Rams.

Homecoming Game vs. Colorado State Rams
Date:
Saturday, October 20th
Time:
6 p.m.
Outcome:
Unbelievably bad loss, 48-23, to the formerly winless Rams. UNLV made five turnovers in an awful game. We no longer hope.

At Wyoming Cowboys, Laramie
Date:
Saturday, October 27th
Time:
11 a.m.
Outcome:
Loss. 29-24. Sigh.

San Diego State Aztecs
Date:
Saturday, November 10th
Time:
8 p.m.
Outcome:

At TCU Horned Frogs, Fort Worth
Date:
Saturday, November 17th
Time:
4:30 p.m
Outcome:

At New Mexico Lobos, Albuqerque
Date:
Saturday, November 24th
Time:
2:30 p.m.
Outcome:
