Before the Program Airs
• Encourage people in your community to tune in. E-mail friends and list-serves, and post fliers on community bulletin boards telling people the time, title, and subject of your show. (Make sure that e-mails and fliers act as an advertisement for animal rights as well as for the show. Your posters could, for example, encourage people to visit GoVeg.com or call 1-888-VEG-FOOD for a free vegetarian starter kit.)
• Host a viewing party in your home or in a community hall.
• Contact your local newspaper. Ask that it include a blurb describing the program, its air time, and its channel on the page that lists the television programming schedule.
• Tell the manager of the station about your publicizing of the show, as most managers are interested in increasing viewership.
