Iceland

I went to Iceland in September 2002, on a whale-watching and nature tour with Arctic Experience. It was the first proper holiday I'd had in years and I had a great time, despite everyone asking me if I minded travelling alone. Here's a compendium of travel photos taken with my Dad's Fuji 6800Zoom digital camera -- can't believe the quality of some of the pictures! Come to think of it, I wish I'd taken some photos of the Icelanders themselves, as they were so unique. They all look so healthy! I didn't see a single Icelander with acne, and the only fat people in Reykjavik are tourists. The men were tall, and the women very beautiful. If I could eat cold meats for breakfast I'd emmigrate!

Exhausted, after a hard week holidaying.

The blue pool.

Just another image of the breathtaking scenery on display -- a landscape devoid of life that's absolutely awe-inspiring.

Never get off the boat...

A humback, diving back to the depths.

... and this was as close as I got to a whale.

MacDonald's, Reykjavik style. This place is a haven for tourists, not the least because it's comparatively cheap.

want fries with that?
