COMMITMENT

We offer the following seven-point commitment to our clients:

1. Your project will be staffed with highly qualified, knowledgeable security analysts.
Unlike some of our large competitors, we won’t solicit your business with a line-up of security experts, then staff your project with security rookies. Blackbird’s project teams are comprised of seasoned security technologists. Many of our team members developed their expertise engineering state-of-the-art information systems and information operations solutions for the U.S. Defense and Intelligence communities prior to applying their talents in the commercial sector.
2. The work that we perform for you will be practical, applied, and tailored to fit your organization’s unique needs.
Our approach to meeting your organization’s requirements will be
based upon your logical and physical infrastructures, line of
business, willingness to incur risk, and other unique requirements,
rather than an industry-standard checklist. Any product
recommendations that we make will be designed to meet your specific
needs; Blackbird avoids VAR relationships that would compromise our
ability to be vendor-neutral. Any assessments or design work that
we perform will yield a tailored product that is clear, concise,
and implementable.
3. Our work will balance benefit versus cost; security versus functionality.
Although we believe that effective security is a crucial requirement in today’s business environment, we don’t deliver security for security’s sake. Blackbird’s proprietary processes weigh the benefits and costs of security deployments, allowing us to optimize our services by striking the proper balance between the benefits of risk mitigation and the costs related to security implementation/maintenance and disruptions to business operations.
4. Our work will be of top quality.
Blackbird has earned a reputation for performing top-quality work, and we continually strive to maintain that reputation. Unfortunately, quality isn’t a given in the security services business. We’ve been engaged to correct a variety of problems that illustrate this fact—including a faulty installation of protective devices that wasn’t discovered by the big-name security consultant performing the installation, because the firm didn’t perform adequate testing.
5. To the extent that you’re interested, we’ll involve and educate your staff.
The more your staff members are committed to the protection of your vital resources, and the better equipped they are to act on that commitment, the safer your organization will be. We therefore welcome the opportunity to involve your system administrators and other staff members in our efforts.
6. Your business will remain confidential.
The very nature of the security business necessitates confidentiality. At Blackbird, we take this issue seriously. We disclose few of our client relationships, preferring to let our clients decide to whom they’ll release information about their security efforts, when they’ll release this information, and what details they’ll divulge. Blackbird personnel are carefully screened and can be trusted to handle highly sensitive information appropriately. Over 75% possess top-level U.S. Government clearances.
7. You’ll be satisfied with the results.
The majority of Blackbird’s work comes from client referrals, and that’s the best test of whether we’re delivering the high-quality service our clients demand. After working with us, if a colleague asks you to recommend a good security consultant, it’s our goal that you’ll emphatically reply, "Blackbird Technologies."
