Head coach Tom Coughlin has to wonder when does it end? The Jaguars played the preseason without their offensive line intact, which has resulted in quarterback Mark Brunell being sacked 32 times so far this season. Running back Fred Taylor missed the start of the year because of an injury and still has not gotten back on track. And during Monday night's 27-13 loss at Tennessee, wide receiver Jimmy Smith left the game with a bruised knee in the first half and did not return. "To lose a guy like Jimmy, that obviously hurts, but in football, that's going to happen," Brunell told The Florida Times-Union.

You have to wonder if Mike Riley takes roll call. That's one of the things we pondered in Week 7.

    NEWS AND NOTES
  • RB Fred Taylor rushed for 112 yards, his first 100-yard game this season and the 10th of his career. Taylor's 71-yard run in the first quarter is the second-longest regular-season run in his three-year career. His longest is 77 yards vs. Miami in 1998.
  • K Mike Hollis, out since the third game of the season with a back injury, was successful on two FG and one PAT attempt against the Titans.
