I'm house managing for a play called Deathtrap. I'm looking for easy to buy or make refreshments to sell that are death/murder themed. Store bought snacks or candy are preferred. The only idea I have is licorice ropes. Help!

  • my 4 month old is sleeping face down?

He just learned to roll over yesterday and already loves being on his tummy, but it freaks me out. I just went to check on him and he was face down. I turned his head to the side, but now I know I'm going to have trouble sleeping myself for worrying. Any advice? I tried turning him back over, but he immediatly flops back to tummy/face down position.

  • My labor was induced last time...?

and ended up in a c-section. I was fine with that, but when the doctor increased the medication through my epidural line I got a horrible splitting headach. So bad I couldn't focus on the birth itself. I'm concerned that I will need another c-section and that that will happen again. Any similar experiances?

  • Moms of more than one, I need some advice!?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant with my second child. I'm really nervous because I don't feel pregnant at all. I've only gained 4 pounds and I'm still in my pre-pregnancy jeans. I was able to see the baby at 12 weeks and heard the heartbeat, but don't have another apointment until December 7th. I'm going crazy. I thought second time moms showed faster and felt movement earlier, but I just look like I've gained a few pounds all over and I feel nothing. Any one else have similar?

  • Positive then negative then positive test?

Ok, on Wednesday I took a Target Brand preg test. It was faintly positive. On Thursday and Friday I took EPT tests, both were negative. I just thought I had a chemical pregnancy, but today the ept and first response were both faintly positive. I'm confused. I know any line means pregnant, but why would it be negative for two days, then positive again. I used first morning urine with all but today's first response, which was faintly positive.

  • My pregnancy symptoms have gone away?

I'm due to start my period on Tuesday. I was positive that I was pregnant this month though. I had severe back pain around the time an implantation should have happened. I have had a weird copper taste in my mouth, sensative gums/teeth, runny nose, fatigue...all of which I got when I was pregnant with my daughter. I know every pregnancy is different and I know that I still have two days until I actually miss a period, but has anyone ever had all the symptoms and then had them go away, only to find out that they were still pregnant? Thanks!

  • Overweight and trying to conceive?

My husband and I are trying for our second child. I've held on to 20 lbs from my first pregnancy, but we are getting a bit older now and need to try before I have time to lose the weight. Anyone here have good tips on keeping my weight down while pregnant? Perhaps the gestational diabetes diet? I'm just trying to gain 20-30 pounds this time so I don't put myself and my baby at risk. I didn't over eat last time, my body just likes to hang onto everything I eat I guess. Anyone else with similar problem. And don't tell me to lay off the ding dongs. I don't eat crap like that.

  • Pregnancy testing...the wait is killing me!?

I had surgery on my knee while I was on my period. (it ended the next day). I didn't get my period as expected this month and am now 5 days late. I have read that stress can delay ovulation. I may have ovulated around the time my hubby and I had unprotected sex. If that's the case I should get my period or not on Tuesday of next week. I've take a test and it was negative. How soon would you retest and are the Dollar Store tests just as good as the expensive ones? I know I'll know eventually, but the wait is driving me crazy!

  • How does surgery affect your cycle?

I started my period on 5/2. Had surgery, on my knee, 5/5. Still no period. Any evidence that suggests that surgery delays your cycle. Three pregnancy tests on the last three days all negative.

  • Getting pregnant...now or wait?

My dh and I have one beautiful child, 15 months old. We want another. I gained 70 pounds with the first pregnancy. I can't seem to lose the last 20. I've been trying for about a year and it just won't budge. Should I keep trying, or just get preggers now? I am considered very overweight right now. My gut is to wait, but I just CANT get this weight to move! Ideas, diet tips? I've tried everything and almost every plan. What's the general opinion?

  • How do you know if you have a true alcohol allergy? What are the symptoms?

For the past few months I've been trying to figure out why I have such bad stomach pains, gas, bloating and cramps. I've tried cutting out dairy, wheat, veggies that produce gas, caffinated beverages, sweets...nothing works. The only thing I havn't removed is alcohol. I don't drink a lot, but could that be the problem? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

  • How do I entertain my 1 year old?

I'm a stay at home mom and I'm going a bit crazy. I have a 14 month old and she's very good about playing on her own while I clean, do laundry etc, but after that...then what? I've tried all sorts of things and I'm out of ideas. We go to the library a lot. We shop a lot. Ug. I want to help her grow and learn, but she is too little for craft projects and such, and I can tell that she is getting bored with things. She's played with all her toys a million times. A new one is only fun for about 20 minutes. She's got free roam of our house and has played with everything within her reach. Any ideas would be great! (It's too cold where I live now to go for a walk or other out door activities.) thanks!

  • Family vacay...need ideas!?

We will be visiting Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Toronto, and Kingston Ontario. We would like good ideas for places to stay, things to do etc. We have a 7 month old, so all day train rides and things like horseback riding are out, but we love a good shopping district, nature preserve, museum etc. Any ideas? We've been to the Science museum in Toronto already. Thanks!

  • Family trip to Ontario, need help!?

My husband and I will be traveling on Hwy 17 through Ontario towards Ottawa, with our 7 month old. Any advice on things to do/see that are baby friendly? Great places to stay? We will be traveling to a family reunion so we aren't looking for high dollar things to do, just cool places to go that we can take our kiddo with us. Thanks!

  • Travel with a 7 month old?

My husband and I are going to be traveling for 10 days with our 7 month old. We are worried about missing naps etc, but our worst worry is how to get her to sleep at night. We can't afford a hotel suite that has two rooms, so she'll be in with us obviously. How are we to get her to sleep at 7:30 without having to go to bed ourselves? Any helpful hints would be much appreciated!

  • Help finding a good mommy and me class?

I've looked into Gymboree. It says $65 a month, but that doesn't tell me if it's once a week or what. If it's 4x a month that's not too bad, but I"d like another option. I"ve had trouble finding them though. Any ideas? I've looked at local churches and librarys, but those are for kids that are at least a year old. I have a 5 month old. I'm not really into the whole "playgroup" thing as that is not structured, and doesn't have music. I do take her to one, but I"m looking for a more formal class. Thanks for any help. Oh, I live in the Indianapolis, In area if you have specifics.

  • four month old sleep patterns?

My 4 month old has changed her sleep patterns, for the worse! She won't nap more than 45 minutes at a stretch during the day. At night she used to get up only once, around 4 am, but now she is falling asleep around 7:00pm and getting up at 11, 1:30, 3:30, 4:45, 5:30 and 6:45. I'm exhausted! I've tried letting her cry it out, but she just screams until it's time for her next feeding during the day. At night I put her pacifier back in her mouth and she falls immediatly back to sleep, so there is no "crying' to let her do. What is going on? Anyone else experience something similar? Any suggestions? Thanks! (Oh, and the doctor swears she's not teething, nor does she have colic, or acid reflux.) Thanks!
