After months in the dark, Jade Raymond Watch is officially back on, as the lovely Ubisoft Toronto head this week appears in 'shopping and style' mag Lucky for a chat.
The charming exec - who's earned CVG at least one ASBO in the Canada area - appeared in the magazine's 'How I'm Wired' columns to discuss her favourite gadgets. And before you ask, yes, they took new photos as well.
"After a childhood spent obsessing over Atari and Nintendo, Jade Raymond made a career choice - video game executive - that seemed a natural fit," the mag reads. "At the entertainment software company Ubisoft, she produces the bestselling Assassin's Creed series and oversees a team of hundreds of engineers, programmers, and 3-D animators.
"'It's such a fun place to work,' says the 34-year-old. 'We're all constantly testing out games together.'"
If you're interested, Jade's favourite gadgets include Leica binoculars, iPod building block speakers, a PSP and a ceramic iPod speaker that looks like a gramophone.
But you don't have the prefix of 'the lovely' before your name. I quite like the fact she's an older woman. Only by 6 months but hell! The things she could teach me. C++, binary division, subroutines....oh the subroutines, you dirty little ho!
She looks like Christine Bleakley, only less irish. She's out of all your leagues, though.
Not at all. I'll just slap some peanut butter over the old chap and then The Lovely Jade Raymond™ should polish it off. Either her or next door's alsatian.
I do think she looks lovely! Gauging by one video interview she comes across as quite intelligent too (that's another primary requisite of mine for any long term interest beyond friendship). Will I ever have the pleasure of meeting her in person? Who knows. Is she single?
Goodbye CVG. While you do manage some good articles. Your general readerbase namely those with the spunk encrusted fingers commenting on this story, are generally scum.

At least those individuals, with or without "spunk encrusted fingers", have derived some measure of enjoyment from this thread and this forum. How do you like your big slice of bitter pie?

Another bitter PS3 user leaves? Wow, who'd have thunk it.

Wonders never cease and what not.
Btw, I've noticed your posts are far fewer in number over the past many months. I reckon it has to do with the new job responsibilities and perhaps a general feeling of "I've-had-enough" in regards to the frequent and prolonged bickering that goes on in the CVG forums. Whatever the case may be, I hope this new year finds you well Marty.

It's mainly new job mate - they have fairly strict internet policies there, unlike my last place. Now I only pop on in the occasional evenings. Thankfully, I'm still off for my Christmas break *winks (took an extra week off to catch up on some games...), so I can pop on during the day.

That would explain it. I've thought about that as well; my current workplace has very laid back internet policies yet I know I will be moving on in the not too distant future and I look forward to that, but I do wonder how much of an adjustment will be required to fit in under possibly less forgiving internet policies.

It sucks. Take my word for it. Though the pay rise was nice.
