The duo had a huge turnout for their event, with excited fans hanging on their every word during the Q&A; session. The stars moved from table to table, talking, signing autographs and taking photos. VIDEO: NY Soaps Join Forces To Cure Cancer!

Soap Stars from all the New York-based shows — which include ALL MY CHILDREN, AS THE WORLD TURNS, GUIDING LIGHT and ONE LIFE TO LIVE — came together on Dec. 6 at Blondies Sports Bar in New York City for a Celebrity Bartending Event for Pancreatic Cancer. VIDEO: Foo Fighter's soap parody

A small number of astute readers have noticed that every AS THE WORLD TURNS synopsis I write has a "theme" based around an actor or author or whatever I'm into in that particular week, reflected in the subheads and caption (and almost entirely for my own amusement). The one in the 9/11 issue was in recognition of my eager anticipation of the Foo Fighters' Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, which was released later that month, so the subheads were all songs from that CD including "Long Road To Ruin."
