A variety of web sites offer help and assistance to the Linux community; Some provide news, others are known for serving as a forum for ideas and issues.
  • Linux International
    The Linux International web site is brought to you by its and the Linux International Board of Directors and its members. Linux International is a non-profit association of groups, corporations and others that work towards the promotion of and helping direct the growth of the Linux operating system and the Linux community.


  • Linux.org
    Linux.org is designed to act as a central clearing house for information and promotion of Linux. It is based on the contributions of visitors and Linux enthusiasts. Linux.org depends on visitors to notify them when links need updating, what is new in the community and how the site can used to better promote Linux.


  • Linux Documentation Project
    The Linux Documentation Project (LDP) is working on developing good, reliable documentation for the Linux operating system. The overall goal of the LDP is to collaborate in taking care of all of the issues of Linux documentation, ranging from online documentation (man pages, HTML, and so on) to printed manuals covering topics such as installing, using, and running Linux.   • Linux Now
    Linuxnow.com bills itself as "The Most Complete Linux Resource." It consist of a four major areas: File Library, Documentation, Forum and Resources. The most unique aspect of the site is the Our File library, which is updated nightly by consolidating information from many high-profile Linux download sites. Using the information obtained by scouring other sites, Linux Now maintains a directory of over 50,000 archived files located on mirror sites.

    A centralized place for individuals of all experience levels to learn (and teach) the power and virtues of Linux.


  • Linux Center
    A portal focused on Linux news, software, documentation, and links.


  • LinuxDevices--the Embedded Linux Portal
    Features a broad spectrum of Embedded Linux topics, including news, articles, events, links, jobs, polls, and more.


  • Linux Links
    A large collection of links to Linux web sites.
