Listen and Talk

The research phase - we need your views

The Panel 2000 discussions produced many good ideas for improving the way that the contemporary UK is projected overseas. It also produced a simple framework for thinking about the different stages:
  • Defining who we are
  • Assessing how we are seen
  • Achieving better co-ordination
  • Improving presentation
  • Improving projection
Britain Abroad aims to build on these ideas, incorporating more views from the private sector, by asking:
  • What are the key messages
  • Which countries are priorities for work
  • How these messages should be communicated
  • Who is best placed to communicate them
  • How we should measure our success
Our aim is to develop a consensus on a consistent and coherent image of the contemporary UK which can be used by everyone.

If you would like to be involved in this, then please let us know.

We are Listening for your ideas and will Talk to clarify and communicate the strategy. But listening comes first. Tell us your ideas.
