Major initiatives promoting the UK to the general public around the world

There is a wide range of initiatives which bring together different government organisations. Some are broader and more far reaching than others. A country-by-country list of the major events in the focus countries are accessible from the Focus countries page.

The most major projects to look out for are outlined below.

UK with NY was originally planned as a major celebration of the UK in New York. This was changed and the event has been scaled down and re-focused in the light of the horrific terrorist activities.

There will still be a series of exhibitions, cultural events and there will be a major centrepiece focusing on product design in the newly restored Vanderbildt Hall of Grand Central Station.

UK with NY is a public-private partnership.

Others
