Becoming a good team
| | Reid has the Eagles soaring again. |
The Eagles, who had turned into the worst road team in the NFL under former coach Ray Rhodes, have become road warriors under Andy Reid, the man who replaced him. Philadelphia has won three of its four road games this season, an amazing leap for a team that was 0-18-1 on the road from Dec. 22, 1996, to Oct. 10, 1999. "We just treat it like a business trip," said Reid, reading right out of the old 49ers playbook devised by Bill Walsh. "I never really harped on it with the players. I believe if you're a good team, you're going to be good at home and on the road."
