Another romantic girl meets boy story but this time had a bit more interest to it. I thought it was well written and the author had done some research into the locations and businesses she was writing about. Definitely for female readers.

I didn't know this book was part of a series - and I agree with some other reviews I was confused about the background story of kidnapping and death which seems like a very important element in this book. I don't know if it was that fact I hadn't read her earlier book or that I didn't like the characters. I tried all weekend to fall wade myself through this book but in the end I jumped ahead over all didn't love this book.

So here is my opinion -- I might go back and read Out of Focus: An Adams Grove Novel Paperback by Nancy Naigle which tells the story of Kasey Phillips a freelance photographer who after concluding her shoot of country music star Cody Tuggle she return home she learns that she has lost her husband in a terrible accident and her son Jake, who was with him, is nowhere to be found - then maybe this book will make sense. Other who loved this book had read the 1st and gave it rave reviews.

First I must say this, I didn't know this was part of a series. And the way this is written, you obviously really need to read the series in order.

From the second chapter on, I felt like I was missing something. That's not to say, I didn't understand the story, I did. And I followed along just fine, but it felt like important pieces were missing.

Kasey Phillips is a young widow, and apparently her son was kidnapped. I am sure one of the previous books talks about that, but this one did not, and since it was mentioned so often, I felt like I was missing an important piece of the puzzle. And because of that, my ability to enjoy this book for what it was, was dampened almost immediately.

Cody Tuggle is a country superstar, and he is growing tired of fleeting love affairs, he wants something real, and he is drawn to Kasey Phillips. When he's accused of murder and Kasey is his only alibi, well, you can guess what happens.

I can't say, how, as the book is well written, but I guessed almost immediately who our bad guy was. That was probably just luck on my part though.

Bottom line: pretty good story, but I would suggest reading the series in order, that way you won't miss anything like I did.

Another book by Nancy that after beginning to read I could not put down as I was afraid something interesting would happen while I was gone. Just had to keep reading to find out what would happen next. Afraid nothing got done at my house til I had finished. Was extremely sorry when I finished as I would be out of touch with such interesting characters that I had started to know and love. Wonderful job

This book was the real thing. It gave you passion, love, lost, friendship. I found myself not putting the book down. I hope there will be a follow up stories on Von his wife, Cody and Jake.

I recommend this book and the ones before it.
