Attend Literary Awards Presentation Dinner

Join some of Australia’s leading writers and authors on 3 September at Zinc, Federation Square, to celebrate the best in Australian literature.
The Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards presentation dinner will announce the winners from the 11 award categories on offer this year, including the Vance Palmer Award for Fiction and the Nettie Palmer Prize for Non-fiction. The RE Ross Trust Playwrights’ Script Development Awards 2007 will also be presented during the evening.
Writer and comedian John Doyle will be the Master of Ceremonies, with a keynote address by award-winning poet John Tranter. Entertainment will be provided by performance poet Phillip Norton, and musicians Gideon Brazil and Deco Trio.
Tickets for the dinner, which starts at 7pm, cost $95 ($90 for concession holders or State Library of Victoria Library Foundation members). Bookings are essential - call 03 8664 7016 or email bookings@slv.vic.gov.au by Wednesday 29 August.
The shortlist for all awards categories will be announced on 10 August.
