Victorian playwrights wanting to further a script have the opportunity to be awarded up to $10,000 in the 2007 RE Ross Trust Playwrights Script Development Awards. Initiated by The RE Ross Trust and administered by the Library, the Awards fund playwrights to work on refining their text with a director, dramaturg, script editor and/or actor.

Entries are open until 21 May, and winners will be announced in September. Guidelines and the entry form are available on our website or by contacting Mahina Drew on 03) 8664 7277.

Past winners include David Blackman, for The Revisionist, Patricia Cornelius, for Do Not Go Gentle... and Sue Ingleton, for The Flower of Malaya.

Some of the plays that have been recognised in previous Awards are currently being showcased in the Flashpoint New Theatre Series during April and May.
