Prime Minister Kevin Rudd Launches Book at Library

On Wednesday 21 May, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd visited the Library to launch a new book by political commentator George Megalogenis. The book, entitled The Longest Decade, explores the political, cultural and economic legacies of the Keating and Howard governments.
After launching the book to an audience of invited guests and members of the press, the Prime Minister toured the Library for almost an hour with Library Board President John Cain and CEO and State Librarian Anne-Marie Schwirtlich.
The Prime Minister reminisced about the times he had spent in the Library, and pointed out the chair in which he used to sit in the La Trobe Reading Room.
