'Sport and War' Exhibition - Coming Soon

The Australian War Memorial's travelling exhibition Sport and War will be visiting the Library from 11 July to 26 October 2008. This exhibition explores what it means to be Australian by examining two key aspects of our nation's culture - sport and war.
The exhibition draws on original photographs, documents, artworks and relics to tell stories of courage, loyalty and achievement, and illustrate the significance of sport during wartime.
Featuring items such as a 'Melbourne Cup' made by prisoners of war, and cricketer Donald Bradman's war medals, Sport and War promises to be an inspiring event.
