2008/09 Annual Report Now Online

The Library's 2008/09 Annual Report is now available as a series of downloadable PDFs.
Featuring information about the Library's financial position, key performance indicators and executive, the report also covers the collection, building program and user access.
Outlined in the report are a number of recent acquisitions and donations, including:
- the archives of the Aborigines Advancement League
- plans and photographs of Tokyo's Imperial Hotel, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright
- cartoons by John Spooner
- a series of Ethiopian scrolls.
Highlights of the last financial year include the development of the Centre for Books, Writing and Ideas; SBS's screening of The Medieval Imagination documentary, which was based on the Library's first major international exhibition; and the development of the Digital Object Management System, which gives users access to digitised images from the collection.
Over 400,000 people visited the Library's exhibitions, including The Independent Type, during the year.
The annual report is also available online in PDF format as well as in hard copy through the online shop.
