Summer Researchers Announced
4 December 2009
AGL Shaw Summer Research fellowships have been awarded to Peter Di Sciascio, Enlai Hooi and Anne McMaster. Each research fellow receives $1200 to undertake research at the Library early next year.
Peter plans to investigate the involvement of women in late nineteenth-century Australian art. Enlai will research phenomenology, visual arts and magic in the manipulation of space through cognitive devices.
Anne will research and analyse decorative ink handwriting contained in western Victorian colonial documents. Her research will be used to create an original artwork.
The fellowships are awarded to Victorian honours and postgraduate students who wish to use the Library's collection to further their research.
