Free Wireless Access Now Available at Library

4 August 2006

Free wireless broadband access is now available at the Library - in Experimedia, the Redmond Barry Reading Room (including the Mezzanine) and the Journals & Magazines room.

This service is offered in conjunction with RMIT University and is available to all registered Library users and RMIT students with compatible laptops or PDA devices.

The free wireless connection provides access to the web (including web-based email), the Library's online catalogue and journal article databases.

Wireless networking signs mark the presence of the service within the Library. Information flyers explaining how to use the service can be found in the Foyer, at the Book Desk in the Information Centre and at all Library information desks.

The Optus 'fee-for-use' service currently offered in the Information Centre and La Trobe Reading Room remains in place.
