Changes to Evening Services at the Library

From Tuesday 4 January 2005, there will be changes to Library services offered in the evenings from Monday to Thursday.

There will be fewer staff on duty at the information desks after 6pm, and there will be no book retrievals after 5.30pm (final requests must be made by this time). You can still use materials from storage after 5.30pm by searching the online catalogue and requesting materials to be retrieved from storage in advance.

The number of staff in the Information Centre will be increased between 6pm and 9pm. These staff will be able to assist users of the Arts, Newspaper and Genealogy rooms which will be unattended. There will be no staff on duty in either the Redmond Barry Reading Room or the La Trobe Reading Room.

All reading rooms will remain open, and you can still you use the books and other materials on the shelves.

Library opening hours will stay the same.
