150 Years - 150 Books - 150 Words Project Launched

2 July 2004

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the State Library of Victoria and The Age, we have launched a project to celebrate the diversity and richness of Victorian literature.

The Library's Australian Centre for Youth Literature has selected 150 books written by Victorian authors that appeal to 10-18 year olds. The 150 Years – 150 Books – 150 Words project encourages students and teachers to read Victorian books and reflect on their personal impact.

Two competitions - one for students and another for teachers  - are being run in conjunction with The Age. For further information download the brochure or visit www.education.theage.com.au. Entries close 6 August 2004.
