New Online Music Resource Released

1 March 2005

On February 24 2005, MusicAustralia released a new online music information resource. Developed by the National Library of Australia and the National Film and Sound Archive, Australia's Music: Online, In Time enables users to find, access and navigate a rich store of information in a range of formats, styles and genres. Information includes music scores, sound recordings, websites and various other music-related material.

A major contributor to MusicAustralia, the State Library has digitised over 220 pre-1930 sheet music titles which are available on the Library's catalogue and can also be searched via the MusicAustralia interface.

As well as providing access to the Library's digitised sheet music, MusicAustralia is also including music-related items such as books, theses, manuscripts and other material in this online resource.
