Report: Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens split
One of Hollywood's hottest young couples, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, have ended their three-year relationship, according to reports.
The actors met in 2005 when they were both cast in Disney's "High School Musical" franchise and they went public with their romance in 2007.
But, according to Eonline.com, Efron, 23, and Hudgens have called it quits.
A source tells the website's Marc Malkin, "It's nothing dramatic. There's no third party involved.
"They were together for so long. It just ran its course."
The timing of the split news couldn't be worse for Hudgens - the actress turns 22 on Tuesday.
Earlier this year, Hudgens opened up about her relationship with Efron, gushing to Glamour magazine, "Right off the bat, we had a connection. I think everybody could see it. When we had our audition, they paired us together. And he was adorable.
"I think that we inspire each other. (I love) having someone to grow with."
Meanwhile, in the September issue of Details magazine, Efron admitted he was contemplating life as a single guy.
He said, "Everyone tells me (to play the field). I think a lot of guys would enjoy that. But I'm not really like that."
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden married by Reverend Run of Run-DMC
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden exchanged vows before hip-hop royalty on Saturday - they were married by rap legend Reverend Run.
The couple became man and wife during a romantic ceremony at the socialite's father Lionel Richie's Beverly Hills estate, in front of family and friends including Gwen Stefani and Ashlee Simpson. Madden's twin brother Benji served as best man, while DJ Samantha Ronson was among the bridesmaids.
But there was another special guest at the lavish event - Run-DMC icon and practicing Pentecostal minister Joseph 'Rev. Run' Simmons officiated the ceremony, according to UsMagazine.com.
One eyewitness tells the publication, "Joel and Nicole have looked up to Rev. Run, so they wanted him to officiate.
"They both appreciate his family values and he is an inspiration for both. They both also respect his faith, too."
Elizabeth Hurley thanks fans for support following split news
Actress/model Elizabeth Hurley has thanked fans for their support in the wake of her split from her husband Arun Nayar.
The "Austin Powers" star revealed on Sunday that she parted from Nayar "a few months ago" after almost four years of marriage. Her announcement came just hours after Britain's News of the World revealed Hurley spent two nights with cricket ace Shane Warne at a London hotel last week.
Hurley was flooded with messages of support on her Twitter blog following her statement, and has since taken to the social networking website to show her appreciation.
She writes, "Thank you for all your very, very nice messages x."
On Monday, Warne issued a statement confirming he split from his wife, Simone Callahan, "a while ago."
In a message posted on his website, Warne writes, "Sadly and unfortunately, Simone and I split up a while ago, our close friends and family were informed at that time. It is a private matter so we did not make it public. We remain friends and will continue to be good parents."
The couple broke up in 2005 following revelations about the Aussie cricketer's string of affairs, but had since been trying to mend its marriage, according to Britain's The Sun.
Billy Ray Cyrus 'sad' and 'sorry' for Miley's bong scandal
Miley Cyrus' father Billy Ray has taken to his Twitter blog to express his disappointment at the teenage superstar after she was caught on camera smoking out of a bong.
The "Hannah Montana" star, who turned 18 last month, was filmed puffing on a huge pipe allegedly containing hallucinogenic legal high Salvia days after celebrating her birthday.
In the video, obtained by TMZ.com, the singer/actress is seen inhaling smoke reportedly from the burning of controversial but legal psychoactive plant Salvia.
The clip has caused a stir online and her entertainer dad Billy Ray has now waded into the controversy, apologizing to fans for Miley's behavior.
Taking to his Twitter blog on Friday, he writes, "Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. Im so sad. There is much beyond my control right now."
Billy Ray Cyrus split from Miley's mother, Tish, in October.
Chris Rock rescues pregnant woman
Chris Rock came to the rescue of a pregnant woman who went into labor at a shopping mall in New Jersey on Friday.
The funnyman was browsing the aisles of the Neiman Marcus department store at the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall when he saw the mother-to-be's water break in the middle of the shop.
Rock rushed over to help and stayed by her side until medics arrived, according to US Weekly.
A source tells the publication, "He was making the crowd and the woman in labor laugh. She recognized who he was immediately and he stayed there until the paramedics took her away."
Selena Gomez denies new Justin Bieber dating reports
Selena Gomez has brushed off fresh rumors she's romancing teen sensation Justin Bieber, insisting the 'date' they were spotted on was an "innocent" breakfast.
Gomez and the "Baby" hitmaker sparked speculation they are a couple on Wednesday when they were seen enjoying breakfast together at the International House of Pancakes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The pair has been at the center of romance gossip over the last year - but Gomez insists they are just friends.
She tells MTV News, "It was pancakes. Who doesn't like pancakes? We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That's all it is. All innocent."
Keith Urban tours to keep Nicole Kidman happy
Country star Keith Urban is determined to carry on touring - because it helps keep his marriage to Nicole Kidman alive.
The "Sweet Thing" hitmaker is adamant he'd prefer to be at home with Kidman and their two-year-old daughter Sunday Rose rather than heading out for concerts.
But he admits road trips with his band are good for his family life - because "Moulin Rouge!" star Kidman gets frustrated if he spends too much time at home.
Urban tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "I wouldn't miss playing (live) for the world. The conundrum is there's only so much time and I want to spend it everywhere and family comes first in that. If I didn't play, there would be a time when Nic would say, 'Can you book a gig or something?'."

I do believe I could give it up. I have thought sometimes that it'd be nice to just buy a little house somewhere and have a simple life.
"But I'm too far gone in now, it has crossed my mind sometimes, when you feel a bit overwhelmed. I'm not that shallow and I'm not facile. If I had David in my life and my friends, I could live anywhere."

Pop sensation Willow Smith defied her parents' orders to avoid social networking sites - so mom Jada Pinkett Smith confiscated her computer for a month.
The "Whip My Hair" hitmaker is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, but her mom and dad, actor Will Smith, still lay down rules at home for the 10 year old.
And Pinkett Smith admits she was fuming when the youngster set up a personal page on MySpace.com - but she allowed Willow to pick her own punishment.
The actress tells Britain's Style magazine, "I told her not to, so I was so mad. I said, 'What do you think I should do now?' So Willow said, 'Mom, take my computer away'. And I said, 'How long for?' She said a month.
"So it's negotiations. I'm not saying it's always perfect. I have my bloops and my blunders. But I'm doing my best. Being part of the family she's from, and working in the industry she's chosen, she needs some guidance."
Robert Pattinson's rap shame
Robert Pattinson is hiding an embarrassing past - he previously pursued a rap career, forming a band and recording hundreds of demos.
The "Twilight" star admits he didn't always dream of becoming an actor and his goal at the age of 13 was to become a hip-hop artist.
Pattinson and his friends became a "crew" and called themselves Big Tub and the Tappy Cats and he hoped to follow in the footsteps of his hero, Eminem.
He tells Britain's Top Of The Pops magazine, "I've got a whole collection of tapes of me rapping from when I was 13! I wanted to be a rapper so there are hundreds and hundreds of tapes. They're very amusing!
"I was obsessed with Eminem when I was younger. When he first came out I was about 12 and fanatical about his Slim Shady CD. I think he's a genius. I'd love to rap with Eminem! That would be really amazing."
But the British actor concedes he would never make it as a rap star, adding, "Most of my rhymes were stolen off other people anyway. They were all like, 'I was raised on these streets', which was a complete farce because I was actually raised in quite a nice area of London called Barnes. Not very ghetto at all!"
Drew Carey slams 'false' cancer story
Comedian Drew Carey has taken to the Internet to deny reports he's been diagnosed with cancer, insisting the story is completely "false."
Fears for the funnyman's health were fueled by a report on entertainment blog Allie Is Wired, which suggested the star was receiving treatment for liver and pancreatic cancer at a clinic in Arizona.
But Carey has now spoken out to insist the rumors aren't true.
In a series of posts on his Twitter page, he writes, "Allie Is Wired reports that I'm at the Mayo Clinic in AZ being treated for cancer... but I'm not. I'm in L.A. chillin'. No cancer...
"Allie Is Wired attributes a 'secret source' that probably didn't just see me have lunch at Swingers in LA... Once again, Allie Is Wired report that I have cancer is FALSE. No worries about me."
Guy Ritchie 'to spend Christmas with Madonna for kids'
Director Guy Ritchie will spend Christmas with his ex-wife Madonna so he can celebrate the holiday with their children, according to a new U.K. report.
The former couple, which split in 2008 after almost eight years of marriage, is said to be planning to reunite on December 25 for the sake of their son Rocco, Madonna's daughter Lourdes and adopted tots David and Mercy.
But Ritchie's plans have angered his new girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley, who will not be joining her partner, according to Britain's Mail On Sunday.
A source tells the publication, "Jacqui was really looking forward to spending Christmas with her man but is now feeling very much left out in the cold.
"Guy is excited about spoiling his children on Christmas. He has told Jacqui he's spending it with his ex-wife for the sake of the children - but it hasn't gone down at all well."
Susan Sarandon's daughter engaged
Susan Sarandon is welcoming a new member to her family - her actress daughter Eva Amurri is engaged.
The "Saved!" actress, 25, announced she is set to wed retired Major League Soccer player-turned-TV sports commentator Kyle Martino on her Twitter blog on Saturday.
She wrote, "The most wonderful man on this planet is now my FIANCE!!!!!!"
Confirming the engagement, Amurri's representative tells People.com: "They just got engaged and both couldn't be happier."
Nicolas Cage starts paying back taxes owed
Actor Nicolas Cage is making gradual progress in his bid to settle a hefty tax debt - he's managed to pay off $360,545 of the $14 million he owes to the IRS.
The extent of the "National Treasure" star's money troubles hit the headlines last year when he filed suit against his former business manager, Samuel Levin, accusing the accountant of misleading him and overcharging for his services, sending him "down a path of financial ruin."
The allegations stemmed from a series of tax liens Cage received from IRS officials, claiming he had failed to pay tax on wages from 2002 to 2004 and 2007.
Levin countersued, alleging Cage squandered his cash on lavish homes and luxury cars and was to blame for his own financial missteps. The legal dispute was settled in August.
However, Cage has finally begun making amends with the IRS and, according to documents obtained by TMZ.com, the actor had made three big repayments by November 10, totaling $360,545.
Tiger Woods' ex moves on with fellow student?
Tiger Woods' ex-wife Elin Nordegren is moving on from the shamed sports star - she's dating a new man, according to U.K. reports.
The couple split last year after news of the sportsman's numerous infidelities hit the headlines, and their divorce was finalized in August, with the Swedish former model walking away with an estimated $100 million.
She only spoke to the press once throughout the scandal to reveal her embarrassment over her husband's infidelities and insisting she just wanted to focus on her two children and her studies for a college course in psychology.
And now Nordegren has been linked to a 35-year-old South African she met while studying in Florida.
A source tells Britain's The Sun, "There's been kissing and cuddling but I don't know if it's gone further."
