Josh Duhamel 'sorry' for flight disturbance
Actor Josh Duhamel has apologized to airline staff and annoyed passengers after he was booted off a flight from New York to Kentucky on Thursday for refusing to switch off his cell phone.
The husband of pop star Fergie was escorted off the plane at the Big Apple's LaGuardia Airport after ignoring a flight attendant's repeated requests to turn off his Blackberry device before take off.
A fellow passenger tells TMZ.com the "Transformers" star was "very rude" and had been "taunting the attendant," reportedly laughing at the male crewmember.
The air steward reported the incident to airport security and called for back up. The plane, which was already behind schedule, had to be turned back from the runway to the departure gate to have Duhamel escorted off the aircraft.
The actor's representative has confirmed a dispute took place, revealing Duhamel had been texting about his flight being delayed.
The spokesperson adds, "He's sorry."
David Hasselhoff saw leaked video of drunken behavior as sign from God
Actor David Hasselhoff is thankful his daughter filmed him during a drunken stupor in 2007, because the infamous home video footage was the wake up call he needed to face up to his alcohol addiction.
The "Baywatch" legend hit the headlines when film footage of him drunkenly trying to eat a burger on the floor of his Las Vegas hotel room leaked on the Internet.
In the clip, his then-teenage daughter Taylor-Ann, who shot the video, could be heard saying, "Tell me you are going to stop, tell me you are going to stop."
Hasselhoff admits he had been struggling with a booze problem for years and had lost control of his life - until the embarrassing footage turned his private battle into a public one.
But he refused to get angry about the viral leak and instead saw it as a sign from above.
He tells People magazine, "Although I was working, I was a complete, absolute runaway train with no control over anything. Thanks to the tape, I realized this was a problem that I needed to deal with.
"When I found out about the tape, I was overcome with an amazing sense of calm. God was basically saying, 'It's time to stop'. I knew why Taylor did it: she was afraid for me. I said, 'That's pretty cool that my daughter loves me to say, 'Dad, this is what you look like. We're scared.' End of story."
Hasselhoff has been hospitalized on three occasions since 2009, reportedly linked to alcohol poisoning, and he reveals his fight for sobriety is a daily one after suffering a number of relapses.
However, the 58 year old insists he is committed to staying clean.
He says, "It's a day at a time and I'm proud of today. It's almost as if I want to go out and have fun like everybody else, but every time I do, I end up in a resort called Cedars-Sinai... (Los Angeles hospital). But I bounce back in two days and get back on my horse.
"It's not about falling. It's how fast you get up. You can count on me getting up. Hasselhoffs don't duck, we say, 'Bring it on!'"
Nicole Kidman's rep denies pregnancy rumors
Nicole Kidman's spokesperson has brushed off reports the actress is expecting her second baby with Keith Urban, insisting the actress is "absolutely" not pregnant.
The "Moulin Rouge!" star and the country singer, who married in 2006, welcomed little Sunday Rose in to the world in July 2008.
The actress was recently spotted sporting a fuller figure than usual, prompting speculation she was expecting again - but her representative tells GossipCop.com Kidman is "absolutely, positively NOT pregnant."
Kidman also has two children, Bella and Connor, from her marriage to Tom Cruise.
Ashton Kutcher's attorneys threaten legal action over sex tape
Lawyers for Ashton Kutcher have threatened legal action against bosses at an adult entertainment company after the star's name was used to promote a sex tape.
Vivid Entertainment chiefs are set to release a new porn video featuring Brittney Jones, who claims to have slept with the actor, and have put out a press release for the clip declaring: "Ashton's fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced."
Attorneys for the "Just Married" star claim the association infringes on his "marketable celebrity identity value" and have threatened to take legal action if his name is not removed.
The letter from Robert D. Offer reads, "It is clear that the use of our client's name is a principal selling point of the video, and that Mr. Kutcher's name is being used in order to lure potential customers to buy the video...
"Your conduct has already caused, and will continue to cause, substantial damages to our client. We will advise our client to seek recovery from Vivid... to the fullest extent allowable under law for any damages, costs and/or liability suffered by him."
Vivid boss Steve Hirsch tells TMZ.com, "We received the letter late this afternoon and I immediately forwarded it to my attorney. We will respond accordingly."
Woman linked to Eva Longoria Parker's divorce speaks out
The wife of Tony Parker's former basketball teammate Brent Barry has spoken out to dismiss reports she's linked to his marriage split from Eva Longoria Parker.
The "Desperate Housewives" star filed divorce papers in Los Angeles last month, citing irreconcilable differences amid reports the basketball player had been unfaithful.
The sports star was linked to Erin Barry, the estranged wife of his ex-San Antonio Spurs teammate Barry, but she has moved to distance herself from the speculation.
In a post on her website, she writes, "I DID NOT HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH TONY PARKER, nor did I 'pursue' Tony Parker.
"Unfortunately, because our divorces are occurring at the same time, great speculation has been cast on our friendship.
"My friendship with Tony Parker had nothing to do with the end of my marriage (which is painful enough without this added drama), and to assume that we had an affair is naive, ridiculous, and completely misguided."
Julianne Hough not engaged to Ryan Seacrest
A representative for Ryan Seacrest has brushed off reports the "American Idol" host proposed to girlfriend Julianne Hough on a recent trip to Paris, France.
The country music star has been dating Seacrest since earlier this year and Hough opened up about the romance to chat show host Ellen DeGeneres last month, gushing, "He's phenomenal. He's really romantic."
The couple jetted off to Paris for Thanksgiving last week and The National Enquirer subsequently claimed the pair had become engaged on the romantic trip.
But Seacrest's rep has been quick to dismiss the rumors, telling GossipCop.com the article is "not true."
Mel Gibson back on screen with 'The Beaver' in spring
Mel Gibson is poised to resurrect his movie career in 2011 - his new film "The Beaver" has been given a spring release date.
Gibson's latest offering, which has been directed by Jodie Foster, was put on hold when the actor hit the headlines earlier this year amid reports of a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
His reputation took a further hit after he and Grigorieva began a bitter custody battle over their daughter, Lucia, and the controversy is said to have cost him a cameo in the upcoming "The Hangover" sequel.
But executives at Summit Entertainment are now ready to launch Gibson's comeback - the studio has confirmed the movie will hit theaters in spring.
A source tells the Los Angeles Times that bosses are tentatively considering a weekend in April for the release.
Mike Tyson hoping for a fresh start at fatherhood
Mike Tyson sees the upcoming birth of his eighth child as a fresh start at fatherhood, insisting he will "do it right" this time.
The former boxer had two children with his second wife Monica Turner, but their four-year-old daughter Exodus died in a freak accident last year. He also has five other kids from previous relationships.
Tyson hopes his new baby with his current wife Lakiha Spicer will have a more stable upbringing than his previous children as he is in a happy relationship and finally free of a long-running drug addiction - and he's vowed to be a "committed and dedicated" dad.
He tells newsman Larry King, "I'm just looking forward to trying to do this stuff right. Of course... I want to do it right... This is my third marriage... You have to be committed and dedicated. This is going to be something new on me, to be totally committed and dedicated to this situation."
The baby boy is due in February.
Jane Fonda fuming over 'airbrushed' magazine cover
Veteran actress Jane Fonda has accused magazine editors of airbrushing her cover photo, insisting the shot makes her look "like a monster."
The star is on the front of V magazine's "Who Cares About Age" issue, which also sees special edition covers featuring Susan Sarandon and Sigourney Weaver.
Fonda donned a leopard-print shirt for the shoot and posed with her hands in her hair to accentuate her facial features - but the 72 year old is adamant the photo has been digitally altered.
She tells Britain's Daily Express, "I hate it. They airbrushed all of my character. I look like a monster. I always say don't retouch, it looks foolish. I've had some plastic surgery but I didn't take away my crow's feet, for heaven's sake."
Ashley Greene 'indifferent' to marriage
"Twilight" star Ashley Greene has no plans to marry boyfriend Joe Jonas in the near future - insisting she feels "indifferent" to the idea of a wedding.
The 23-year-old actress, who has been dating the Jonas Brothers star since summer, isn't convinced that a relationship will go the distance just because a couple exchanges vows.
She tells Cosmopolitan, "I'm indifferent about marriage. I think sometimes people get married so they can say they have that person forever. But a ring doesn't ensure that you'll stay together."
Nicole Richie's maternal instinct to protect family
Nicole Richie has defended her decision to wage war on a paparazzo she accused of harassment, insisting the legal battle was necessary to protect her family and privacy.
The mother of two fought for a restraining order against Fabricio Luis Mariotto in a bid to keep photographers away from her daughter Harlow's Los Angeles school.
She settled her case with Mariotto out of court on Wednesday, agreeing to drop her request for a permanent injunction against him if the snapper stays away from the socialite, her fiance Joel Madden and their two kids until 2015.
Richie admits the move may have an impact on Mariotto's career but believes she had to follow her instincts as a mother.
She tells talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, "I don't want to prevent anyone from making a living, but at the end of the day, we all have to follow certain guidelines and we all have to answer to somebody.
"At the end of the day, as a mother, I have to protect my children. It's instinctual, right or wrong, you have to protect your children.
"There are certain guidelines for everyone. For you, for me, for everyone. And it has to be the same for everyone. We all have to be safe."
Aretha Franklin recovering from 'successful' surgery
Soul queen Aretha Franklin is recovering well after undergoing a "successful" surgery for a mystery ailment.
The "I Say A Little Prayer" hitmaker was admitted to a Detroit, Michigan hospital for a procedure on Thursday and has now spoken out to assure fans the operation went well.
In a statement she says, "The surgery was highly successful. God is still in control. I had superb doctors and nurses whom were blessed by all the prayers of the city and the country. God bless you all for your prayers!"
Franklin's health has been at the center of much speculation recently after doctors ordered her to cancel all concert dates and personal appearances scheduled until May, including a Christmas concert in her adopted hometown of Detroit on December 9.
Rachel McAdams & Michael Sheen seal romance with public kiss
Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen are making no secret of their new romance - they were snapped openly kissing at an airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The "Frost/Nixon" star, who was previously married to Kate Beckinsale, reportedly met the "Sherlock Holmes" actress at a party earlier this year to celebrate the release of his movie "Beautiful Boy."
They sparked further speculation about a possible union after they were spotted holding hands in Toronto, Canada in October - and now they have gone public with their relationship.
The pair was photographed kissing and hugging at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday before McAdams had to catch a flight.
