Ashton Kutcher wants 'No Strings Attached' to inspire women

Ashton Kutcher hopes Natalie Portman's role in his new romantic comedy "No Strings Attached" will inspire young women to be "empowered" by their sexuality.

In the film, Portman stars as a woman who attempts to have a sexual relationship with a male friend, played by Kutcher, without developing any emotional attachment to him.

And Kutcher insists the movie sends a "powerful" message to females about having a healthy sex life.

He tells Movieline.com, "For women in the sex education process in schools, the one thing they teach about is how to get pregnant or how to not get pregnant, but they don't really talk about sex as a point of pleasure for women.

"Part of that creates a place where women aren't empowered around their own sexuality and their own sexual selves, and from a purely entertainment point of view, to create a movie with a female lead that's empowered with her own sexuality is a powerful thing. And if we can give teenage people something to think about from a sex perspective, I would say it would be to open a conversation where women are empowered with their own sexual experiences from an educational level as well as an entertainment level."

Ashton Kutcher wins battle with porn bosses

Ashton Kutcher has scored a victory in his tussle with a porn company -- the firm has agreed to remove his name from promotional material for a sex tape.

The actor threatened to sue after Vivid Entertainment bosses named him in a press release for their forthcoming adult video featuring Brittney Jones, who claims to have bedded Kutcher.

The press release declared: "Ashton's fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced."

The firm's boss Steve Hirsch initially dismissed the actor's complaint as "without merit" but after a number of legal exchanges, Kutcher has been distanced from the controversy.

A Vivid representative tells TMZ.com, "We decided not to use the A-lister's actual name in connection with the sex tape."

Ashton Kutcher toughening up for Armageddon

Ashton Kutcher is getting toned and tough - so he can fend for himself and look after his family following an Armageddon-type crisis.

The movie star and producer, who is married to health nut Demi Moore, fears a major U.S. energy meltdown is nigh and he's trying to get super fit so he can deal with the chaos that will follow a blackout or worse.

Kutcher discovered combat training Krav Maga last year as he prepared to tone up for his role in "Killers" and now he's obsessed with running, Bikram yoga and Muay Thai fighting with the French national champion - and he insists he's committed to his extreme workouts, so he can dominate in desperate times.

The 32 year old tells Men's Fitness magazine, "It will not take much for people to hit the panic button. The amount of convenience that people rely on based on electricity alone. You start taking out electricity and satellites, and people are going to lose their noodle.

"And people are going to go, 'That land's not yours, prove that it's yours,' and the only thing you have to prove it's yours is on an electronic file... People's alarm systems at their homes will no longer work, Neither will our heating, our garbage disposals, hot-water heaters that run on gas but depend on electricity.

"What happens when all our modern conveniences fail? I'm going to be ready to take myself and my family to a safe place where they don't have to worry... All of my physical fitness regimen is completely tailored around the end... I stay fit for no other reason than to save the people I care about."

And he admits he tasted what life could be like after a major national or international calamity when he, Moore and her kids were left without power for 14 hours at their mountain cabin last Christmas.

He adds, "I got my guns out. We made a fire. We went to the grocery store... People were rolling in and out, clearing out all the shelves... It was like a preview."

Ashton Kutcher writes about digital love

Ashton Kutcher has written an essay about romance in the modern age for a magazine, handing out tips to lovers for digital dating.

The Hollywood actor, who is married to Demi Moore, has penned an article for Harper's Bazaar, explaining his love of modern technology and his devotion to social networking sites such as Twitter.com.

Kutcher is adamant lovers need to embrace the digital age, because sending a text message or a Twitter post is a "modern whisper in your lover's ear" and comparable to "sending flowers to the office".

He writes, "Whether you like it or not, the digital age has produced a new format for modern romance, and natural selection may be favoring the quick-thumbed quip peddler over the confident, ice-breaking alpha-male. Sending sweet nothings on Twitter and Facebook is also fun. In some ways, it's no different than sending flowers to the office: You are declaring your love for everyone to see.

"Who doesn't like to be publicly adored? Just remember that what you post is out there and there's some stuff you can't unsee."

But Kutcher warns couples not to forgo face-to-face human contact completely, adding: "The reality is that we communicate with every part of our being, and there are times when we must use it all. When someone needs us, he or she needs all of us. There's no text that can replace a loving touch when someone we love is hurting. ...

"(And) the power of a handwritten letter is greater than ever. It's personal and deliberate and means more than an email or text ever will. It has a unique scent."

Ashton Kutcher's attorneys threaten legal action over sex tape

Lawyers for Ashton Kutcher have threatened legal action against bosses at an adult entertainment company after the star's name was used to promote a sex tape.

Vivid Entertainment chiefs are set to release a new porn video featuring Brittney Jones, who claims to have slept with the actor, and have put out a press release for the clip declaring: "Ashton's fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced."

Attorneys for the "Just Married" star claim the association infringes on his "marketable celebrity identity value" and have threatened to take legal action if his name is not removed.

The letter from Robert D. Offer reads, "It is clear that the use of our client's name is a principal selling point of the video, and that Mr. Kutcher's name is being used in order to lure potential customers to buy the video...

"Your conduct has already caused, and will continue to cause, substantial damages to our client. We will advise our client to seek recovery from Vivid... to the fullest extent allowable under law for any damages, costs and/or liability suffered by him."

Vivid boss Steve Hirsch tells TMZ.com, "We received the letter late this afternoon and I immediately forwarded it to my attorney. We will respond accordingly."

Ashton Kutcher's lawyer denies latest cheating story

Ashton Kutcher's lawyer has been quick to dismiss a new tabloid expose, in which a pretty 21-year-old has accused the actor of cheating on his wife with her.

Kutcher has already threatened Star with legal action after the publication first reported he was a cheat, but that hasn't stopped the editors going further, and, in the new issue of the magazine, Brittney Jones has spoken out about her brief romance with the star.

Hailing Kutcher "a great lover," the 21-year-old reveals all about her alleged one-night stand with the hunk, while his wife Demi Moore was shooting a movie in Michigan.

But Jones tells Star the alleged romance quickly ended because Kutcher told her he "couldn't justify a relationship" and he "didn't feel good about hiding it."

She adds, "He said that he felt bad that he had been with me and that he didn't like sneaking around behind Demi's back."

In a statement, Kutcher's lawyer says, "Star Magazine continuously publishes lies about Ashton Kutcher and many other celebrities. This is not the first, nor will it be the last time they engage in reckless conduct."

Earlier this year , the magazine reported that Kutcher was seen with a 20-something blonde at a Los Angeles restaurant. Kutcher reacted to that report via Twitter, writing, "I think Star magazine calling me a 'cheater' qualifies as defamation of character. I hope my lawyer agrees."

He added, "STAR magazine - you don't get to stand behind 'freedom of the press' when you are writing fiction."

Moore has yet to respond to the article, but she posted a look-at-me bikini photo on her own Twitter account on Wednesday, suggesting her husband has no need to stray. (Check out the pic here.)
