Super Street Fighter IV screens are super

Fresh batch of screens released at CES
Capcom has released a new look at its upcoming fighting game, Super Street Fighter IV, which is sounding more than just a tiny update.

"It's odd to see new faces, new moves, and new stages in a game you've played literally thousands of times already," says Xbox World's latest preview. "SSFIV's big upgrade - bigger than anything EA bangs out in a typical annual update - is damned near finished, right now. Every one of the new characters is already in the game, together with the new stages, modes, and bonus rounds.

"It's been only a year since the last upgrade - a stack of new characters for the console port of SFIV - but SSFIV raises the character count to a whopping 35, makes the online mode all it should have been before, and dishes up new ways for solo players to play."

Super Street Fighter IV preview.

I never bought the first game because i though fighting games where a bit boring and repetitive.

But this is now looking like an essential purchase for me.

I bought the original off steam last week and it's bloody hard to play with a controller(x360's analogue) ... Got raped by sagat on my 1st ever fight Very Happy I need an old school joystick/fightstick whatever it's called

Yeah, the Xbox pad sucks for fighters. If you're planning on putting a decent amount of time into it I'd say definitely invest in a decent arcade stick. You'd have a massive back catalogue of amazing fighters on MAME to use it with too.

you could always get yourself a USB Saturn pad. If you don't like fightsticks. They work brilliantly, and cost a fraction of the proce too.
