Leading lady Milla Jovovich looks to have confirmed that the next Resi motion flick, Resident Evil: Afterlife, has been delayed to a January 2011 release.
"So I think we r definitely pushing the film till jan '11," Jovovich said via Twitter, adding: "We can't rush it and hve crappy effects, so know it will rock!" True that.
The film was originally planned for an August 2010 outing, but Jovovich admits in multiple tweets that getting the film finished for that date would have been "pushing it".
I enjoyed Apocalypse due to all the in-game nods. First one I wanted to see the mansion and they dissapointed me there. It's funny because The Umberella Chronicles takes bits from the first movie... I wish Alice would just die, mind you... permanently
Dont agree , they are not bad films, lets be honest there are no good horror flicks anyway.
You seem to forget about all the brilliant horror films that came out in the 80s and before. Definetly more effective and believeable due to use of props rather than CGI. Films like Nightmare on Elmstreet for example

I thought the Silent Hill film proved that it can be done right. I really enjoyed that film, and it can stand alone as an above average horror flick. Better than all the crappy slasher flicks that seem to be everywhere.
I love the resident evil movies and the cg one at least we have the prince of persia movie next year.
I have seen some very bad films pulp fiction, fight club to name but two
I think you've either lost the plot, or have very bad taste. To each their own...
The first film wasn't too bad when I first saw it, throughout the film I was like "Who's this blonde chick?" Sweet it's set in the mansion, wait wtf?" Who are these swat guys?" Where's Chris Redfield?" "Wtf is the Hive?" "Ok wtf is going on, this is nothing like the game." "Sweet atleast they got the Licker right, wait what, a Licker turned into a Tyrant type monster." "Cool, they used the train sequence from Res Evil 2." "Wtf, the Nemesis program?" "I can't wait to see the 2nd film."
Then came Resident Evil:Apocolypse, which blew away the first film and was pretty much like Resident Evil 3, except for a few changes (Alice, rescuing a child and the stupid Nemesis vs Alice fight), it was a step in the right direction.
Then came the third movie (I cannot remember the name), my god how s**t was that? Ok it was nice of them to add Claire Redfield and Albert Wesker (possibly the best and only decent thing about the film), but setting it in a desert was lame, the story sucked and that's it.
I'll probably watch the fourth film, depending what it's about, who's in it etc.
I've seen a lot of videogame movies, MK 1&2, Street Fighter, Super Mario Brothers, Doom, House of the Dead, Double Dragon, Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3, FFVII:Advent Children, Final Fantasy, Wing Commander, Silent Hill and possibly more.
Can't say I hold much hope for the film. The last one was terrible. They should just ditch the action and go for the old-skool atmosphere, edge of your seat, horror tone. It'd certainly help lower the budget used on effects and hopefully help make the film a better overall product.

Beg to differ. 'The Descent' was really good. The sequel isn't half bad either for deaths, though is rather pointless. The Resi films are total $HITE and an embarrassment to the Resi name
I like these films myself, I take them for being an action flick rather than a horror anyway. Granted even as an action title they are not going to set the world alight but there have been a lot worse movies released.
I COMPLETLY DISSAGREE...These movies r badass. I can't belive u guys r bi*ching about them just cuz there not EXACTLY LIKE the games...Maby Milla should mail most of u one of her daughters bottles...U guys need them more than she does.
