Turntable black belt DJ Shadow will be providing the games industry with a banging selection of tunes for the Golden Joysticks aftershow party.
Mike Anthony of Rampage, said: "We're really excited about the Joysticks this year. Not only are we stoked to be presenting the 'Best Soundtrack' award on stage, but we also get to play a DJ set on the same bill as the legendary DJ Shadow. The after show party will be off the hook!"
Innit.
Vote here if you haven't already. We'll let you know how awesome the show was as soon as we've recovered. If it was up to us, you'd all be there.
DJ Shadow is a bit of a Legend in my house, Entroducing is simply an outstanding and amazing album!
I agree. I was very fond of 'The Private Press' too, but wasn't too keen on 'The Outsider'.
Have you got the Unkle album?
Yeah, 'Psyence Fiction' is also amazing. Cant believe that its more than 10 years old!!
Psyence Fiction still gets regular playtime on my stereo. Never, Never Land and War Stories have some great tunes on them, like Eye for an Eye, Restless and the sublime When Things Explode but Psyence Fiction was just put together beautifully with great songs like Unreal (original album version not the Ian Brown Be There version) Bloodstain and Lonely Souls. And you can't beat the ad for BallBuster (which always reminds me of Kerplunk for some reason).

Thanks ensabahnur, i will now need to listen to this great album again once I get home from work, I reckon this might work brilliantly with ODST, then again i might be tripping .

I've got all 3 albums on my phone, i'll probably give Rabbit in your Headlights a quick blast on the way home.
It's a shame he hasn't done anything decent in years. Then again none of the Quannum guys have. Private Press and the Brainfreeze mixes were good though, just nothing will ever come close to Entroducing - it was/is seminal and captured the time perfectly.
I hate the word zeitgeist.
But I'm going to go to this - http://www.thepeepshow.co.uk/2009/01/introducing-play-endtroducing-live-at.htm
