Smackdown vs RAW 2010 details arise

Significant additions promised
THQ has offered up new details on the latest in the Smackdown series, cleverly titled WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2010.

According to the official fact sheet, the Create-A-Superstar mode will include new 3D parts and visually, put created wrestlers on par with the WWE crew. A Paint Tool also allows you to create your own tattoos and logos while the Create-A-Finisher mode allows for top-rope finishers along with new grapple moves.

For the writers out there you'll also be able to create your own storyline, selecting on-screen stars, location, dialogue, camera angle and animations. These stories can also be shared online.

Well it all sounds promising but if improvement on the inring experience hasn't been mentioned then thats not a good sign as the animations have largely been the same for the last 4-5years, which was the last time i purchased one.

The fact that its so easy and the computer rarely poses a challenge has always been a let down. The wrestlers all seem to lack their own personality whereby facing Finlay is just like facing the Undertaker, they just have different movesets, but are equally easy to beat.

The lack of player progression is also a hold back, if i want to be a badass i should be able to. There are just too many limitations in single player to make it a memorable experience in previous versions.

And lets not even get started about collision detections and the usual dreadful commentary.

Just sounds like the GM mode is being improved and the create a wrestler and nothing else. I always thought they were the best parts of the previous incarnations anyway, so you'd think they would try to get the rest of the game to match up to it.
