Saw this earlier this morning and wondered why, when the PS3 is more than happy to browse... the web :) You gotta admit though that our attitudes towards sex is a bit backwards compared to other countries. I can imagine the headlines now 'Mum catches nine year old using Ps3 to view porn' etc etc. Seriously though I can't see why you would want or need such a service on the Ps3 as this sort of thing has already been on the web for years, and the Ps3 does have a built in browser. Historicaly anything that has kick started a piece of hardware more than any other thing is porn. Everyone knew Betamax was better but VHS started retailing porn on videotapes first and relegated Betamax into the history books, then people were happy with CD's and VCD's but the new format, DVD, was struggling to sell until, you've guessed it, the promise of multi angles, zoom in features and high picture quality porn then DVD's became the favoured medium. Even the internet, what we take for granted now, was only made popular because of smut, it was used for years by academics and programmers for years until porn websites became more widely available through the internet before it REALLY took off! Even now Sex is one of, if not, the most seached for word on the net! Will this see the PS3 get a foot in the big league?!?!

We know porn is quick to use technology (photography, cinema, video, computers, internet, etc), and has an uncanny way of making money out of technology. But to suggest that it's the reason why any specific technology becomes mainstream is incorrect, or at best, misinformed! 30-odd posts and no obligatory 'PS3 owners = wankers' comment??? :? It's well documented that porn is a huge driving factor in whether a product does well or not and WAS the main reason VHS won the bitter Beta v VHS wars (Sony were reluctant to let companies use their format for adult entertainment, but VHS had no qualms). What's more even if you point out that it might have been other deciding facters that make or break a product, it's no coincidence that on the offset of a tech product popularity growth is usually triggered by pornography...Like DVD's for example... 30-odd posts and no obligatory 'PS3 owners = wankers' comment??? :?
