Or is that word just for Killzone 2? They certainly sound believable. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D ....................... 8) I still need to get the first Modern Warfare. Glad to hear there's going to be even more Hardcore modes. I loved the visceral, realistic feel of not having a UI.
It does sound like an expansion with similar content, but since CoD4 was an amazing multiplayer experience, I don't really see that as a bad thing. I hope they expand the multi-kill rewards in some way though - after the helicopter there's no reason to keep going.
Vehicles are a bit of a worry since they didn't work so well in W@W and can be really annoying in BFBC and Halo 3, but I hope IW know what they're doing.
No mention of destructible environments though. I thought that would've been a given this time round. It DOES sound obvious... but then again, if it ain't broke...
I think it's a shame they're adding vehicles to MP though. I haven't tried WAW yet but the general consensus seems to be that the addition of vehicles is a bit rubbish. Time will tell if they can up their game now Killzone 2's multiplayer looks so sweet.
Finally finished it single player on veteran last night, don't think I will be trying Elite difficulty.... Well to please CVG, it'll have to have massive dragons for bosses, 30 different types of multicoloured enemies and levels set in a fairground. Oh, and the developers may want to include bullets that change into penguins, which then do a tapdance on your head.
And don't use grey. Just the colours of the rainbow please.
And if they put exploding barrels in the game - woe be tide!
Multiplayer will have to include gay vs lesbian matches and a mode where you fight in a giant bouncy castle and throw shoes at each other. And a co-op mode where you hold hands and dance through the poppy fields looking for bunnies.
Oh, and finally, the story will have to be up to the standard of an Oscar Wilde novel. I trust IW to make a great game, I just hope they can flesh out the Single Player experience a bit and of course add some co op play. I am pretty sure you can use the word Generic for other games. It is just that Killzone 2 is such a great fit for the word. Sounds a hell of a lot better to me, but then again I adored COD4 and MW2 is one of my most anticipated games for 2009 (hopefully), so I may be biased. KZ2, while it looks great from what I've seen, still strikes me, as a non-PS3 player, as rather humdrum and standard gameplay and story wise. *shrugs* That's not necessarily a bad thing yet when COD4 came out, in my mind at least, it refreshed the FPS genre on the PC and possibly on the consoles as well.
This sounds promising and I can hardly wait to purchase and play MW2! :D »

Also good to see the L85A2 making a debut. More like modern warfare 1.5. That bit of news was an anticlimax. Still, long way to go. Vehicles - Bad

I really hope the SAS missions come back though, definitely the high points of the previous game.
Here's hoping there's more to this above CoD4 than the difference between CoD4 to 5 (i.e. there wasn't much). That's not really new, it's not even almost new. I thought COD 4 was awesome too. I was just being sarcastic. Killzone 2 is just as awesome as COD4 in every way. The gunplay is even more visceral in my opinion and I think it is a shame that many will miss out on it because of negative remarks about it being generic.
Seriously, the Helghans are the best enemies in any shooter. Ever. I love them and hate them in equal measure! don't want vehicles.....COD is all about on foot warfare.....if i want vehicles i'll play Battlefield.... COD has always been a multiplayer game, the campaign maybe fun for a little while but the heart of every COD game in my opinion is the multiplayer. In terms of online console gaming theirs nothing that will top it, not even Halo or KZ. :D »

The vehicle inclusion was obvious looking at the grab of people playing the game that surfaced recently. Chucking in popular maps from the last game - presumably with a re-skin on some - means that if you don't like those with vehicles, you're still likely to be happy.
If they do do zombies, maybe they could do it in daylight in a desert setting and steal a bit of RE5's thunder.
Chuck in sprinting 28 days later zombies infected by some virus thingy and they'd have the Left 4 Dead crowd too.
Whatever happens, this will be he biggest selling title this year. I'm with you on the whole exclusive thing. It sucks.
Problem is, how would the different companies compete if they offered the same games? :? Vehicles? I seriously hope not, at least not in multiplayer. Aside from the ridiculous dogs, the vehicles in World at War online destroyed it for me.
I like Infantry Ward though, and I hope they have the sense to do vehicles right, if at all... :lol:

In all seriousness, I'd love for a developer to bring the fun back into gaming. I love realistic games as much as the next man, but I must admit, my game sounds wicked.
And it would most definitely involve martian chickens that speak in a Yorkshire accent because of watching too much Emmerdale Farm.

I'd love a single format console, I really would... nothin special i love mod warfare waw was shit hated the crap guns.. but i'd love to see a create a map feature similar to far cry 2 to upload created levels then the game would never get old when it comes out.. even tho i still play cod 4 to this day the maps do get borin at times so would be nice to be able to make your own maps :D :D :D :D :D I know it's only a leak, but so far that doesn't seem like much of a change. Seems like something they could do in a patch (weapon/perk/new mode updates rather than a whole new game). Gutted to see that the P90 won't be making a return. Not happy about vehicles being in there either. The tanks in W@W were crap and unfairly balanced as it should take like 10 rockets 4 satchel charges and a few grenades. Look at Battlefield which has always had vehicles and they are relatively weak so they don't become a pain in the arse. Its Killzones 2 Assassination mode! I love that mode as you can get some easy kills!
On Topic: Just Seems like COD4 with a few Tweaks here & there, but that not a bad thing as long as the single player campaign is longer than it was in COD4! I'm pretty sure this type of mode has existed before Killzone 2. Yes, Halo 3 has it. Sounds just like tweaks, shame it was a good series of games, not it feels like they are milking it. TVs are not really comparable it is more the delivery systems that are comparable to gaming. Buy Sky and you get more HD programmes and exclusive programmes. Buy Virgin and you get excellent on demand streaming and a better set top box, Buy Freeview and you get a cheap but limited service. Buy Freesat and you get ITV HD. To get all the services I want I would need to subscribe to them all just like consoles. All I want is a Pesky Whiney American Kid Zapper that sends an electric shock through their headset. Only a mild shock will do. Nothing too dangerous. Just to let them know who's boss! A few from that list maybe true, most are probably not. I smell ******** in general though. im sure a few weeks back they had a suggestion poll on a twitter website? am i rite? but i gandered and everyone who mentioned vehicles said no, and some added only for traveling long distances, so clearly they haven't listened uh? anyway killcam saves sounds cool :D Nothing mind blowing. If they are having vehicles though that could mean some bigger maps which would be nice. As long as I can turn it up to dangerous levels if they still annoy me after numerous non lethal zapps. I very much doubt IW will include vehicles in Modern Warfare II. lol good shout!
what happened to destructable environments? please say this is still on the cards It is quite funny how most of this information, i have said i want. Shame the P90 isnt coming back though, hopefully there will be a nice similar gun to take its place.
Only extra thin i was thinking they should have is a new bonus, as well as UAV, Airstrike and Helicopter, say when you get 15 or 20 kills for example, although what this could e i don't know.
I am dissapointed about there being vehicles. In my opinion they are the worst things in World at War, although maybe a small vehicle, maybe with a gun turret would be handy, but idon't want a map like Seelow.
Shame about the BOTS too, i would like them. Well, Midjet, I wouldn't exactly take that list as gospel just yet. Wait until you hear official word from Infinity Ward. I thought Halo was probably the only shooter to get vehicles right (except for when NPCs drive them). And I include Half Life 2 in that. Far from it, i doubt half of the stuff will be in it. I am saying how if that was in the new game, that is what i would think. Surely an inside man would know it was called a ghillie suit and that it was available in Modern Warfare?
I'd take it with a pinch of salt personally. I can understand that there won't be silencers for snipers as it will be too easy for them giving that there's enough perks to keep you hidden. M4 to return and Diemaco C8 to make an appearance... how bloody lazy - they're the same bloody thing! :lol:

Why the Ak47 and M4 of all weapons? I guess the M4 as it will be real popular with the americans. I will be very dissapointed if there's no SA80. Nice to see the British Sniper rifle though:).
No P90? Maybe they took that out as a 'balancing' thing, shame though.

But none of these details are that shocking, vechicle sections have always been in COD, and noboy expected mulitplayer changes I read it correctly and the guy said 'Snipers' not 'the camo on the gun'. I guess he could mean the rifle though come to think of it.
Still, I think I will remain skeptical. (if only to protect myself from disapointment :( ) lol If thats the only changes this series plans to make - a few guns. so thats not lyk killzone2 search and destroy but it is killzone2 assasination gametype?? is it not?? Statement from IW I highly doubt MW2 will have vehicles all the other cod games that infinity ward was big in didnt have vehicles..but then again it is a new age and a lot of games are doing it so it is possible im extremely excited about this game :) i didnt want to see vehicals in it, but we gotta give it a chance, they could turn out to be good.
