Resi 4 style gameplay and controls. would rock so hard i think the earth would shift on its axis. Give me new game Capcom, no more ports and wiimakes. Not finishing Resi zero is one of my biggest gaming regrets. I loved EVERY.SECOND of the Resi remake on the gamecube but just could'nt get into zero. I may have to dig it out this weekend and give it another try. :? Resi 1,2,3 and possibly CV ports on the EU PSN store? Or MvsC2 HDRemix. thats what i'm waiting on A new version of Resi 2 using the Resi 4 style engine would be amazing if done correctly, and could look even better than Resi 4 as it wouldn't be restricted by the GameCube's power.
Another Umbrella Chronicles might not be so bad either as it would surely have to incorporate Resi 2 and Resi 4 this time around!
I really wouldn't like to see a cut down version of RE5 on Wii, it would be like Dead Rising all over again. It would look poor, and without online co-op or proper comunication support via Wii Speak, would fail from the offset as the AI on Wii would be even worse for Sheva.
I also don't want to see a 'new way to play' old Game Cube title 0,1, 2, 3 etc..
So for me it's got to be either of the first two possiblities or like someone else said a whole new proper RE game created for Wii, a true sequel to RE4 if you will.. anything else will be a disappiontment really! Resident Evil: Code Veronica for the Wii. Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2 for the HD consoles. give us a proper remake of 2. From the groundup.
The resi remake for me was the highlight of the series and the best of the old style resi's.
There's nothing wrong with capcom sending some love nintendos way. Resi 4 sold amazingly well on the console and is without a doubt the best version of resi 4. Joking aren't you? Resi 2 REmake (ideally using Resi 4 engine) has to be the most anticipated game this side of Shenmue 3... Capcom are on a bit of a roll recently, so any game they are looking to put out has me interested straight away. Just to agree with just about everyone, a remake of RE2 would be brilliant, a proper Survival Horror game! seen this on kotaku on friday night and have to say i'd love a resi 2 remake in the style of 4.

it probably won't be 2 though,it'd be easier for capcom to remake veronica (which is nowhere near as cool,steve's a pvssy) as there's already a 3d engine for that available in one form or another: they just need to switch the viewpoint and re-texture the environments.
a resi 2 remake would require a new engine and i just can't see capcom putting that much effort in to a wii game this side of monster hunter.
oh and while we're at it,how about letting the resi 4 engine go and developing a better one. the wii can do more. Surely a whole new engine is more, or at least as much, work ;) wasn't there a rumour ages ago of a remake of resi 2 for wii? if that rumour turns out to be true i will seriously be chuffed. resi 2, whilst having crap graphics now, is awesome, yet i still haven't completed it Resi 2 REmake style it's amout time the crimson heads returned @ marty: yeah,completely contradicted myself there :D years of substances man,at least it started well eh...

it'd be nice if they used the resi 4 prototype engine,the one that featured the hookman in the painting.

if resi 2 looked like that,i'd be more than happy. You know what i want? Resi 3 in wii-o-vision. Imagine it. Nemesis coming after you on the wii with control shaking to lose his grip. Ah god that is what i want. DAAAAAAAAAAMN! Its not RESI2 but the umbrella chronicles sequel based on RESI2.
