World of Warcraft offline in China

Weeks-long server outage drives Chinese MMO players barmy
Chinese MMO players have been driven barmy by almost three weeks of World of Warcraft server outage. If that was Mario Kart outage, we'd lose the plot.

The MMO's servers have been offline in the country since midnight on June 7, when the operating license ended for Blizzard's former Chinese partner, The9.

The developer has chosen a new online company to take over, NetEase, but a company spokesperson declined to comment on when WoW would come back online, in a statement given to Yahoo. For goodness sake Blizzard, people will die.

A mass of Chinese players are taking refuge on Taiwanese servers for the time being, where log-in times are stretching to a several hours due to the massive demand.

TAKE THAT you lanky, unwashed ten year old WoW brats! Who's going to sustain your frail illusions now?! YEAH, you can scream at your parents, but they can't do a thing about the server! Have fun.

No offense but talk about stating the obvious. I was surprised the two people below you thought it was so funny. :?

Ok I admit I was going to say the same thing! ;)
