Rock Band coming to PSP

Harmonix music series makes its portable debut on PSP
The Rock Band series will go portable for the first time, with Rock Band: Unplugged coming exclusively to PSP.

"MTV Games and Harmonix announced separately that gamers will be able to take Rock Band Unplugged on the road with the first ever portable version of the popular music and gaming experience," says Sony.

"Rock Band Unplugged will take center stage as it leverages the PSP system's Wi-Fi capabilities and becomes the first PSP game to include a fully-featured in-game store for downloadable content in the North American and Europeans markets."

It makes no mention of how the game will control on the portable - whether or not it will come with an add-on attachment like Guitar Hero on DS. Nor is there a release date.

But hey, PSP fans have had enough huge surprises for one day, wouldn't you say?

Assuming that the peripherals will clip to the top of the PSP:

Guitar frets similar to the DS version except with the full complement.

Drum pads...perhaps just buttons?

Microphone is already built in

To be honest the whole thing sounds like /ultimate facepalm

What a huge success this will be - I can just see people now sitting on the bus singing into their PSPs...

Some things are best left to the home consoles.
