Gases To Purify Water

  • Oxygen improves the biological purification of water. Its use increases the capacity of sewage treatment plants.

    VENTOXAL equipment dissolves oxygen in wastewater, and such specially designed services as computer modeling, maintenance and remote-management optimize oxygen consumption.

  • The water's pH is controlled by injecting carbon dioxide, which is harmless for the environment and easier to handle than other acids.
  • Drinking water may be disinfected by treating it with ozone instead of chlorine.
  • DIAGOX chemical oxidation equipment (using oxygen, ozone or peroxide) can remove chemical pollution, condition cooling waters and neutralize odors in sewer systems and treatment plants.

Gases To Treat Waste

  • Waste incineration is improved by using oxygen which can reduce smoke volume by a factor of up to seven. Incineration may even vitrify waste residues which are then absolutely inert.
  • The use of liquid nitrogen to "cryocrush" some types of wastes (such as automobile tires) at very low temperature allows the component products to be separated and recycled.
  • Contaminated soils may be treated by chemical oxidation using oxygen, ozone or hydrogen peroxide.
