Less seasoned pros might run the risk of a theatrical crash landing, but TJ Jagodowski and Dave Pasquesi......

Galas make us kind of nervous, but we attended this week's Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation dinner at Balthazar honoring the work and life of Jane Jacobs to hear what more could be said about the revered author and activist. New Yorker architecture critic Paul Goldberger called Jacobs "the great prophet of the Village" and praised her legacy of radical intervention. "What she believed," he said, "is that every place has an essence,......

But the theater world also has its version of summer TV’s ubiquitous reruns, only there we like to think the phenomenon of show extensions and brief revivals is weighted......

And you want to spend your limited funds on a few drinks with friends, but that doesn't mean you can't eat or need to limit yourself to instant ramen noodles. This week's New York Magazine surveys bars around town where you can take advantage of free food during happy hour. And although much of it seems somewhat standard (hot dogs, wings, pizza), there were a few standouts that seemed more interesting to our palates and......
