Short-term mission trips offer a chance for LCMS members to perform Christian service while experiencing life in a different culture. Short-term missionaries contribute to the mission work being done in a country by participating in: evangelism, English teaching (ESL), vacation Bible school, construction, medical work and more.
Short-term missionaries typically serve a term of two weeks to six months. They are new college graduates; experienced, retired adults; and people who have been in the work force and are looking for a change of pace and a chance to serve. There are even a few service opportunities for students still in college. Short-term missionaries serve all over the world and in the United States as well.
