LCMS District and Congregational Services—Family Ministry is offering training for LCMS clergy in the Prepare/Enrich premarital and marital counseling program.
 
 
What is the Prepare/Enrich Program?
 
The PREPARE/ENRICH program is designed to assist pastoral counselors in working with premarital or married couples. PREPARE/ENRICH is comprised of inventories:

• PREPARE -- premarital couples
• PREPARE-CC -- cohabiting couples
• PREPARE-MC -- premarital couples w/children
• ENRICH -- for married couples
• MATE -- for couples over the age of 50

Each Inventory is a 165-item Questionnaire assessing relationship strength and growth areas for 15 categories. The Inventories are comprehensive, diagnostically valuable and designed to generate a meaningful dialogue between the counselor and the couple. The PREPARE/ENRICH Inventories have been scientifically developed to have high levels of reliability, validity and clinical utility.

Six Goals of the Program:

• Explore couple strength & growth areas
• Strengthen couple communication skills
• Learn Ten Steps for Resolving Couple Conflict
• Explore family-of-origin issues
• Develop financial budget & plans
• Develop personal, couple & family goals

Seminar Objectives:

The PREPARE/ENRICH Training Workshop certifies participants to administer, interpret and counsel using PREPARE, PREPARE-MC, PREPARE-CC, MATE, and ENRICH.  The workshop qualifies participants to start using all five Inventories with couples immediately.

Cost:

The cost for the training is $175.00 per person.  In addition, each participant will receive a $35 voucher so the final cost for the day’s training and certification is only $140.
