Ted Corbitt passed away yesterday, costing NYC one of its own icons of long distance running. The 88-year-old died from a respiratory condition related to separate cancers that outdistanced his life as a pioneer of racing. Ted Corbitt was a former and founding president of the NYC Road Runners Club, an Olympian, and a champion of ultra-marathon running. “Harvard University is one of the finest in the land. [Your] exuberance exudes a confident confidence of a bygone era" - Will Ferrell as George W. Bush at Harvard's Class Day Gothamist is intrigued by Will Ferrell's role as Class Day Speaker for Harvard yesterday. While he's undeniably tearless when it comes to getting the laugh, is it weird to have someone so unrelated to the school even though cooler than anyone else on......

It looks like Will Ferrell kicked some marathon ass at the Boston Marathon. In Gothamist's book, finishing a marathon is amazing. Finishing at a 9:01/mile pace is incredible and we're duly impressed. We promise to see Elf and Anchorman when they come out. Gothamist also liked Will Ferrell in Ladies' Man and Dick, one of the most underrated comedies in recent memory.......

"As long as the guy in the Gumby costume doesn't pass me, or someone dressed like Elvis, I'll be OK. I'm going to try not to cry, or wet my pants." - Will Ferrell on running the Boston Marathon Another reason Gothamist loves Will Ferrell: He's a runner. He's running in the Boston Marathon today. Ferrell was asked about running naked, like he did in Old School, and he said, "It might improve my......
