Free Charts Index

listing all the free graphs and patterns for filet crochet and cross stitch that are on this site (crochet.about.com) - over 100 charts.

Adaptable For Other Needlecrafts

Any of the filet crochet charts can also be used as a chart for cross stitch or for "crocheting a color design in" on a piece. See the end of this page for how to figure that starting chain.

There are a few charts in blue, which are scans from an early 1900's book. I'm recharting these, one by one, as time allows. With the exception of some of the clothing charts, none of the antique charts had any instruction at all with them; I've added all the instructions that you find on chart pages.

Many of the charts listed below are my own original designs, also. --Sandi Marshall

Some may want to use the charts for cross stitch on aida cloth. Many of the designs would be adaptable to loom beadwork, knitting and needlepoint, as well.

Please note that these charts are for your own personal use only.

Any of the filet crochet charts can also be used as a chart for cross-stitch or for "crocheting a color design in" on a piece. To figure a starting chain, when you wish to use a chart for cross-stitch on a crocheted background or for crocheting colors in, for a piece that exact chart size, count the squares across on the first row on the chart and add one for your first turning chain; then work the chart in single crochet (one square on the chart equals one single crochet stitch). For afghan stitch, do not include the one turning chain in your starting chain.
