ornate border around it with a vignette of the company's name in clouds. This item has the signatures of the Company's President and Secretary and is over 95 years old.
Certificate Vignette
The Spencer Heater Company was acquired by the Lycoming Manufacturing, and eventually became Lycoming-Spencer Manufacturing. Spencer Heater made the casting for transmission, shifter and bell housings for the Cord 812 of the Auburn Automobile Company.
The company was eventually acquired by Textron.
