Unfortunately the co-location has been delayed slightly, and the current server is well overdue for a bit of an upgrade. Because of this we'll be upgrading the existing servers hardware Friday at midnight.
During the downtime we plan to put a temporary server in place that will be a replica of this one. This should mean that you see no change or downtime whatsoever. The new server, for anyone that's interested, will soon comprise of dual Pentium 3 933's and 1.5GB ECC RAM.
Finally, as many of you are aware, this site is still on an ADSL connection and is therefore very short on bandwidth. For this reason I'm not too keen on people recursively fetching data off the site - like our friend "194.202.251.XX" (removed) today who used a script to fetch all the maps from the site (in excess of 200MB). If anyone wants any data such as this - I really do not mind you having it - just send me an email! It'll save you writing scripts and it saves me bandwidth! |
