Email abuse

Posted: Tuesday 20th January 2004 by Sam
There's been lots of talk on the BT message boards today about campaigners receiving unsolicited mail from a certain company. It appears that this company (which shall not be named here) used the campaigns list this site to harvest the addresses.

Whilst they deny that their email was spam, I and many of the recipients (who received up to 9 blank emails each) feel otherwise.

For this reason, I've now implemented an email form that you can use to contact a campaigner if you need to. This does not reveal the real campaigners actual address at any point.

In other news - well, there is no other news. The RFS dates aren't out yet - they're due tomorrow though! I've had quite a lot of messages about delayed registrations at the moment. I'm not sure why this is happening, but the fault does not lie here. All registrations have been received and sent onwards successfully. Please keep in mind that registrations can take around 3 days to appear sometimes!
