Edge Telecom planning further LLU rollout

Posted: Thursday 14th September 2006 by Sam
Edge Telecom are planning to rollout their LLU ADSL2+ services to a further 37 exchanges nationwide. For those of you unfamiliar with Edge, they bought Trilogy Telecom from administrators in 2005. Trilogy had caused quite a stir in 2004 when they began offering ADSL2+ on a series of Cambridgeshire exchanges that BT had deemed unviable.

Edge's new rollout focuses primarily on London and Manchester, although the central exchanges of many of the major cities are also targeted. There are no firm rollout dates at this time, as scheduling is still being arranged with BT and other suppliers.

The new products based on this rollout will be targeted purely at the SME and corporate markets. Further information about the rollout plan and the product details should be available at the end of the month.

A complete list of the planned exchanges can be found here.
